Rollie van Rappaard, co-founder and co-chairman of CVC Capital Partners, recently met with His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, and President of the Dubai International Financial Center. The meeting took place at His Highness’s rest house in the Nad Al Sheba area in Dubai.
During the meeting, Rollie briefed His Highness on the company’s work in the Middle East region and its office in Dubai. Sheikh Maktoum expressed that Dubai serves as an ideal starting point for the company’s business in the region due to its position as a major financial and business hub.
The discussion between Sheikh Maktoum and Rollie centered on opportunities offered by Dubai with its advanced infrastructure and favorable business environment for global asset and investment management. They also talked about Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision for Dubai’s economy, including its ambition to become one of the top four financial centers in the world.
Dubai was highlighted as a critical hub for global businesses due to its strong infrastructure, supportive regulatory frameworks, and dynamic investment environment. Rollie commended Dubai’s leadership for creating an attractive atmosphere for investors and capitalists, making it a leading business center regionally and internationally.
