USA Vies for Olympic Qualification at IWF World Cup: intense competition among teammates as women lead men’s category

The IWF World Cup is a daunting task for Team USA’s 10 women and eight men, all vying for Olympic qualification in Thailand. However, the competition among teammates is intense, with several American athletes currently ranked in the top 10 of their respective weight classes in the International Weightlifting Federation Rankings.

In the women’s category, Olivia Reeves holds second place in the 71 kg class, making her the highest-ranked American weightlifter. Tokyo 2020 Olympian Jourdan Delacruz is also in fourth place in the 49 kg class, while Mary Theisen-Lappen is fifth place in the +81 kg class. On the other hand, China leads the pack as they dominate the rankings.
