To be considered for hosting the event, applicants must fill out a Bidding Form and submit it by May 31, 2024, along with supporting documents in English. The basic provisions for the event include a total duration of up to 25 days, approval of regulations by July 1, 2024, a minimum total budget of 8,500,000 USD, and a minimum prize fund of 2,500,000 USD.
FIDE reserves the right to negotiate with applicants to improve or modify bids before making a final decision based on a variety of factors, including the development of chess.
