An individual from Dane County who was infectious spent time in Rock County, prompting RCPH and other health authorities to work together to identify and notify individuals who may have been exposed to the measles virus.

As part of their efforts, people who may have been exposed to measles are being asked to check their vaccination status if they visited certain locations during specific dates and times. These include Kwik Trip on W Madison Ave in Milton between 2:45 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, SSM Health Dean Medical Group on E Racine St in Janesville between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday, April 22, and SSM Health Mary’s Hospital on E Racine St in Janesville between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23.

Individuals who were at these locations during the specified dates and times are being advised to stay home if they are unvaccinated and contact RCPH or their local health department for guidance.
