On March 28, 2024, Lake Hallie police responded to a report of theft at a business on 118th Street in the village. The business reported the theft of over 30 semi-truck tire rims and other items, totaling an estimated loss of $4,500. Following the report, on April 2, 2024, a detective contacted scrap yards with information about the stolen items and a description of the suspect’s vehicle. The next day, a local scrap yard informed the detective that all the stolen items were in their possession.
