The Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame has announced that former NFL player and University of Louisville athlete Teddy Bridgewater will be inducted into its Class of 2024. Bridgewater led the University of Louisville football team to victory over the Florida Gators at the Sugar Bowl in 2013 before transitioning to the NFL. He was a first-round pick in the 2014 NFL draft by the Minnesota Vikings and went on to play for teams such as the New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers, and Denver Broncos.
Tony Delk, Oscar Combs, and Roy Pickerill are also set to be inducted into the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame in this class. The selection was made by a committee consisting of 16 sports media professionals from across the state, as well as the Bygone Era Selection Team.
Bridgewater’s induction is a testament to his impressive career both on and off the field. He is known for his leadership skills, athleticism, and philanthropy work with various charities. His induction into the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame is a well-deserved recognition of his accomplishments and contributions to sports in Kentucky.
The Class of 2024 will be recognized at a ceremony in Freedom Hall in Louisville in September 2024. Their families will also be present to celebrate this special occasion with them. This story may be updated with further information about these athletes’ achievements and their induction ceremony details as they become available.
