The Hannover Messe, one of the world’s largest industrial fairs, is set to take place from 22 to 26 April 2024. The European Commission will be participating in the event, with a focus on strengthening the EU’s industrial competitiveness in the global economy.

The first day of the fair will feature a conference, presentations, and round tables in the stand auditorium. Each day will be dedicated to a different theme, with attendees also having the opportunity to visit a support corner to speak with experts about industry-related policies and financing opportunities.

On the second day of the fair, European Energy Day will be held, with the theme of “Clean, accessible and safe energy.” Mechthild Wörsdörfer, Deputy Director General of the Energy DG, will be participating in a one-day conference that covers a range of topics including EU policy framework for industrial competitiveness in energy sector and European Wind Energy Package among others. A session will also introduce a new voluntary initiative called “Code of Practice on Interoperable Smart Energy Appliances.”

All 8 sessions of European Energy Day will be streamed on DG Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs website. This event provides stakeholders an opportunity to learn about latest developments in EU energy sector and engage with experts in the field.
