China’s Commitment to Serbia: strengthening economic and political ties in Eastern Europe

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic expressed strong support for China’s sovereignty over Taiwan during a visit by President Xi Jinping, who aims to strengthen political and economic ties with European countries more aligned with China. During their discussions, the two presidents reaffirmed their commitment to each other’s interests, signing agreements on trade and Chinese investments in Serbian infrastructure.

Xi also emphasized his support for Serbia on issues like Kosovo, highlighting the mutual respect between the two countries. The visit coincided with the 25th anniversary of the bombing of the Chinese embassy in Belgrade, a reminder of the shared history between China and Serbia.
