UVA Health, which includes the UVA School of Medicine and School of Nursing, has once again received top safety grades from The Leapfrog Group. This marks the second consecutive grading period that the medical centers have earned “A” grades for hospital safety.
The four UVA Health medical centers that achieved this recognition are UVA Health University Medical Center in Charlottesville, UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center, UVA Health Haymarket Medical Center, and UVA Health Prince William Medical Center in Manassas.
K. Craig Kent, MD, chief executive officer of UVA Health, expressed his appreciation to the team for their hard work in achieving these top grades. He emphasized that providing excellent care to patients is a key focus of their strategic plan to expand access to quality care across Virginia.
