The SCHEELS Iowa High School Sports Awards has announced nominees for the Boys Basketball Player of the Year. This event is part of a nine-month student-athlete recognition program that includes 20 regional shows across the country, honoring athletes, coaches, and teams from sanctioned high school sports in Iowa.
The live show on June 10 at Hoyt Sherman Place in Des Moines will recognize nominees for Boys Basketball Player of the Year, along with winners in 21 other sports categories. Outstanding achievements on and off the field will also be highlighted, including awards like Courage Award, Coaches of the Year, Teams of the Year, and Boys and Girls Athlete of the Year awards.
Nominated athletes who RSVP will receive complimentary tickets to the event, while guests can purchase tickets. The nominees for Boys Basketball Player of the Year include Joseph Bean, Mason Bechen, Carson Johnson, Curtis Stinson Jr., Jesse Van Kalsbeek, and Kaden Van Regenmorter.
