In the heart of downtown Miami, a bagel shop has once again fallen victim to vandalism. The owner of Holy Bagels & Pizzeria, Josh Nodel, reported that his shop was targeted for the fourth time over the weekend. Graffiti reading “Free Palestine End Genocide” was spray-painted on the shop’s front windows. This act of vandalism has been perceived as an attack against the Jewish nation and against the law of Florida.
Despite the repeated incidents, Nodel has felt the backing of the community, receiving calls from various directions offering support. Members of the community have come together to clean up the graffiti and show their solidarity with Nodel and his business. This is not the first time a Jewish-owned business in Miami has been vandalized in connection to the conflict in the Middle East. In December, Bagel Time Cafe had Israeli and American flags vandalized by different suspects.
The incident has sparked outrage among members of the Jewish community who are determined to display their American and Jewish pride despite these challenges.
