The Cross-Straits Fair for Economy and Trade, hosted by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and the People’s Government of Fujian Province, has been recently launched in Fuzhou, China. This year’s fair adopts the “5+3+N” mode, featuring five main activities, three supporting theme exchange platforms, and various investment promotion and industry collaboration events.
The fair is set to be a major gathering for economic and trade discussions with over 50 industrial and commercial groups expected to participate, along with more than 1,000 Taiwan compatriots and businessmen. It aims to be the most influential large-scale comprehensive investment and trade event across the Strait, serving as an experimental platform for early-stage cross-Straits integration.
Some of the key activities at this year’s fair include the Opening Ceremony and Cross-Straits Exchange as well as thematic exchange platforms like the Achievements Release of Cross-Straits Integration Development and Industrial Collaboration Promotion Booth. Over the past 30 years, the Cross-Straits Fair for Economy and Trade has become a prestigious event attracting tens of thousands of Taiwanese enterprises and over 30,000 Taiwanese businessmen. It plays a crucial role in exploring new avenues for cross-Straits integration and promoting smooth economic and trade cooperation across the Strait.
