Uncovering the Past and Looking Ahead: The Evolution of Arizona Cardinals No. 67 Through the Years

2 min read

As the NFL offseason comes to a close, we are eagerly anticipating the start of the 2024 regular season. The Arizona Cardinals will kick off their season against the Buffalo Bills in just 67 days at Highmark Stadium in Week 1.

The Cardinals’ current No. 67 is Austen Pleasants, an offensive lineman with limited NFL experience. Despite playing in only two career games and taking just 10 offensive snaps, Pleasants is still competing and practicing to earn a spot on the team. While he has potential, he has not yet made a significant impact for the Cardinals.

Justin Pugh was the last player to wear No. 67 for the Cardinals. Pugh was an offensive lineman who played for the team from 2018-2022. He started at right guard before moving to left guard, where he excelled as one of the team’s most reliable and consistent linemen. Pugh even filled in at right tackle when needed and started a total of 56 games during his time in Arizona.

After his time with the Cardinals, Pugh joined the New York Giants for 12 games last season. Originally drafted by the Giants in the first round in 2013, Pugh showed his versatility and skill on the offensive line throughout his career.

Tomorrow we will bring you more updates as we continue to count down to the start of the season. Don’t forget to listen to Cards Wire’s Jess Root on his podcast, Rise Up, See Red, available on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Podcasts
