X, once known as Twitter, has announced that the ability to conduct live broadcasts will soon only be available to users who have subscribed to the Premium version of the social network. This means that this feature will no longer be accessible for free to all users.
Currently, all users, regardless of whether they are using the app for free or have a subscription, have access to this feature. However, X has stated that this will change and only Premium users will be able to create live video broadcasts. This also includes broadcasts made from an encoder with integration in X.
To continue using this feature, users will need to have a subscription to X Premium, which starts at 8 euros per month for the web version in Spain. This change was announced by X on their Live profile, specifying that only Premium subscribers will have the ability to livestream.
The platform, owned by Elon Musk, allows users to stream live video content and share it with others in real-time, similar to platforms like YouTube, Twitch, and Discord. Users can share anything from breaking news to important live events directly from their X account.
