Tom Stoltman Defies Odds to Win 2024 World’s Strongest Man for Third Straight Year

Tom Stoltman has once again emerged victorious in the 2024 World’s Strongest Man competition, marking his third win in four years. His dominance was evident throughout the two-day finals, as he secured the title with a nearly wire-to-wire lead. He excelled in his signature event, the Atlas Stones, and finished with 53 total points – 5.5 points ahead of second-place finisher Mitchell Hooper, the 2023 champion.

Hooper tried his best to stop Stoltman from claiming another title, but it was to no avail. With this win, Stoltman now joins American Bill Kazmaeir (1980, 1981, 1982) in third place on the all-time list of World’s Strongest Man winners. Throughout the competition, Stoltman never placed lower than third in any event. He tied for the most points in the Max Axle and Keg Toss events on the first day, establishing his lead.

The highest-ranking American in the competition was Evan Singleton, who finished in third place overall and was the only American to make it to the finals. Singleton also placed fourth in the previous year’s event and was the top American finisher then. Despite winning Europe’s Strongest Man a few weeks prior, Luke Stoltman, Tom’s brother, placed ninth in this year’s World’s Strongest Man competition.
