Mizzou baseball returned home on Tuesday after a weekend sweep at the hands of Tennessee to take on Lindenwood. In just seven innings, the Tigers secured a 13-1 win, completing the season sweep. Javyn Pimental started on the mound for Mizzou, pitching a scoreless first inning before Kaden Jacobi took over for the next three innings, allowing just one run in the process.
The Tigers’ offense kicked off early in the game, with Justin Colon bringing Danny Corona home to give Mizzou a 1-0 lead in the first inning. In the fourth inning, the game was tied at one before Mizzou ignited their offense. The inning began with Jackson Beaman hitting a solo home run, followed by freshman Jack Holubowski’s first career hit with a single.
After that, Mizzou sent 12 men to the plate and scored nine runs in the inning. Brock Daniels, Jackson Lovich, and Colon all had RBI singles, Corona added an RBI double, and Matt Garcia hit a three-run homer, making it 10-1 Mizzou.
