Anti-Israeli demonstrations took place in Amman, the Jordanian capital, for the second night in a row. Police and gendarmerie worked to prevent the crowd from approaching the Israeli embassy. According to jo24.net, two demonstrators were arrested after trying to break through the security forces’ cordon. More than 10 thousand people participated in the demonstration organized by a youth organization.
The participants in the demonstration demanded that the Jordanian government take practical measures to stop Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. They called for the cancellation of all agreements with Israel, including the peace treaty (Wadi Arba agreement) and the gas agreement. They also demanded a ban on land delivery of goods from Persian Gulf countries through Jordan, as well as a ban on exporting vegetables.
jo24.net reported that the demonstrators believed that Amman should stop military cooperation with the United States, which they held responsible for aggression in Gaza Strip. Additionally, protesters insisted on opening borders to Jordanian youth who wanted to join Palestinian resistance.
