Wujiang 2024 is set to be the 396th Climbing World Cup event in history, encompassing both UIAA and IFSC competitions. This event will also mark the 41st time that China has hosted a climbing competition and the ninth time it has taken place in Wujiang.
A total of 235 climbers, including 128 male and 107 female participants from 37 countries and territories across four continents, will compete in four medal events: women’s Lead, women’s Speed, men’s Lead, and men’s Speed. Among these competitors are several notable individuals who have achieved remarkable milestones in their climbing careers. South Korean Kim Jain will be participating in her 100th Lead competition, solidifying her place as the fourth most seasoned competitor in the all-time list. Polish speed climber Marcin Dzienski will make his 63rd start in a Speed World Cup competition, showcasing his experience in the discipline.
