Telecom Giant HOT Fined NIS 5.5 Million for Inadequate Infrastructure Deployment in Israel

The telecommunications company HOT has been fined NIS 5.5 million for failing to deploy its infrastructure universally throughout the country and not reporting this to the Ministry of Communications. Despite generating hundreds of thousands of shekels in income from cellular communication services annually, the fine imposed for violating the license is not considered too significant by HOT.

Specifically, HOT did not provide infrastructure to several settlements including Daburria, Elpaz, Osafia, Netzer Khazani, Kafr Kana, Shlomit, Kiryat Yaarim, Daburiya, Dir al-Assad, Mevo Modiim, Turan, and others.
