Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone’s Dominating Performance at US Olympic Team Trials Leaves the Competition in Awe

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone is the reigning Olympic champion and world record holder who set a world-leading time in the semi-finals of the women’s 400m hurdle at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – track & field in Eugene, Oregon. She effortlessly cruised to a time of 52.48, just edging out her rival Femke Bol’s time of 52.49 from the European Championships.

In her heat, McLaughlin-Levrone had no trouble beating Rio 2016 champion Dalilah Muhammad, with both women securing their spots in the final. Anna Cockrell had the second-fastest time of the day with a 52.95, followed by Shamier Little (53.49), Jasmine Jones (53.66), and Rachel Glenn (53.68) in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th positions respectively.
