Successful Penn State Health Children’s Week Celebrates Fundraising Efforts and Shines a Light on Patient Assistance Endowment

Penn State Health Children’s Week was a huge success, with a check presentation at a Hershey Bears Game celebrating the fundraising efforts. Miracle Family the Hortons were present, along with Jeffrey Horton, Leidra Horton, Lex Horton, and Miracle Child Daisy Horton. The total amount raised for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital during the week was an impressive $100,170.

One family who benefited from the support provided by CMN’s Patient Assistance Endowment was the Yoders. Joshua Yoder spent 18 days at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital battling a respiratory virus. His mom, Jean Yoder, was by his side throughout his stay, and thanks to the assistance provided by CMN’s Patient Assistance Endowment, she was able to focus on Joshua’s recovery while still taking care of herself.

The Patient Assistance Endowment is more than just a financial resource; it acts as a lifeline for families struggling to meet their basic needs during challenging times. The support provided by CMN allows families to navigate the difficulties of having a child in the hospital with greater ease and peace of mind.
