The Pittsburgh Steelers recently claimed defensive lineman Willington Previlon off waivers, as reported by the NFL transactions report. Previlon was cut by the Atlanta Falcons along with offensive lineman Nolan Potter on Thursday. Despite going undrafted in 2020 out of Rutgers, Previlon had a productive college career with 71 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, and three passes defensed.
After going undrafted, Previlon signed with the Green Bay Packers and spent his rookie season on their practice squad. However, he was cut by the Packers during the preseason in 2021. Subsequently, Previlon signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ practice squad before eventually landing on the Dallas Cowboys’ practice squad for most of last season. Despite his journey through multiple practice squads, Previlon has yet to play in a regular-season NFL game.
