Spanish construction giant, Vialterra, receives over three million euros in compensation for business malpractice by real estate firm Aedas Homes.

A Madrid court has ruled in favor of Vialterra, the third largest construction group in Andalusia, and ordered Spanish real estate firm Aedas Homes to pay over three million euros in compensation for business malpractice. The disagreement between the two companies escalated to the point where Aedas Homes unilaterally terminated the contract with Vialterra and expelled them from the work. Despite warnings from technicians about the risks involved in installing an untested facade system, Aedas Homes ignored their concerns.

The case serves as a reminder of the importance of ensuring that projects meet technical standards and that developers are held accountable for their actions. The CEO of Vialterra, Juan Manuel Bueno, expressed satisfaction with the court’s decision, emphasizing that construction companies face burdens when dealing with faulty decisions made by others. In this instance, justice was served, and Vialterra was compensated for the challenges they faced in dealing with an unsuitable facade system.
