Shooting at Tequila’s Sports Bar and Grill: One Man Hospitalized, No Arrests Made Yet

On Friday night, a man was hospitalized after a shooting at Tequila’s Sports Bar and Grill in Martinsville, Virginia. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Spruce Street. Upon arrival, officers found the man with a gunshot wound to the leg and took him to the hospital, where he has since been released.

According to the restaurant’s manager, a woman known for causing problems at the establishment entered the bar around 11:30 p.m. with a man. Shortly after, gunshots were fired in the parking lot. No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting, but one person was taken into custody at the scene for unrelated reasons, as per police.

Authorities have stated that there is no ongoing threat to the community as they continue their investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to come forward. Tequila’s Sports Bar and Grill remains open for business, but management plans to have additional security on site in the future as a precaution.
