The Kansas City Science City is now home to a new interactive exhibit called Eye Spy, which offers visitors an immersive experience for families and kids. The 2,000 square feet exhibit replaces the previous Mister E Hotel and features custom hand-painted and spray-painted murals with hidden illusions related to Science City’s legacy in the city.
One of the highlights of the exhibit is a “never-before-seen, custom curated video technology” called the “Travelvator,” which takes visitors on a virtual journey around the outside of the station. Visitors can choose from five categories of rooms: color, nature, art, technology, and perspective. The color room features 256 colors and patterns that stimulate visitors’ senses, while the nature room showcases illusions of firefly forests and elephant stampedes. The art room has mind-twisting visuals that lead to a giant kaleidoscope. The technology room allows guests to virtually journey through Union Station and downtown Kansas City with the Travelvator. In the perspective room, visitors can explore how illusions can change their view of the world around them.
Admission to Eye Spy is $16.50 for adults, with children under 12 months admitted free and Union Station members getting in for free as well. For more information about this unique exhibit at Science City, visit unionstation.org today!
