Join us for a thrilling adventure at the Cuba Circulating Library on Wednesday, July 10 at 1:00 pm. Science Heroes are inviting you to join them on a treasure-hunting journey through interactive science experiments.
During the performance, you’ll get to experiment with chemical reactions, air pressure, and physical explosions in an exciting STEM learning adventure. This program is open to all ages and requires no registration.
For teens aged 12-18, there’s an opportunity to try out some cool experiments using leaf blowers, confetti cannons, liquid foam, nail polish remover, and more. The 3:00 pm workshop will showcase some amazing science experiments like Foam Hand, Toilet Tornado, and H20 Cannon. Space is limited for the teen workshop, so registration is required. Adults interested in learning about local mushrooms are invited to join a guided mushroom ID hike with Sam Warren on Saturday, July 13 at 3 pm at Bush Hill State Forest. This foray will focus on expanding eco-literacy through mushroom identification and understanding their roles in ecosystems. The hike will cover topics like mushroom anatomy, habitat, and species identification led by NYSOGA licensed hiking guides Sam Warren and Brandon Miller who have over 25 years of combined foraging experience and NY Wild Mushroom Safety Certifications.
