Santa Monica Welcomes Three New Businesses with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremonies: Oasis Restaurant, Bandit E-Bikes, and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

1 min read

The Santa Monica community recently welcomed three new businesses, with ribbon-cutting ceremonies organized by the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce. The first business to receive a celebration was Oasis Restaurant, owned by Mickey Barnes and Brenda Garcia, at 1413 5th St. The vast space was highlighted during the ceremony on March 25, with a $10,000 donation from Los Angeles Football Club and Pepsi as part of the Pepsi Dig In initiative supporting black-owned businesses.

Two days later, Bandit E-Bikes opened its doors thanks to Richard Cao and Hansel Cisneros. Chamber members and local officials had a fun experience with the e-bikes at the 930c Broadway location, with Mayor Phil Brock even taking a test ride on one of the bikes.

On March 28, the Medical Center of Santa Monica located at 2021 Santa Monica Blvd near Providence Saint John’s Health Center welcomed a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf location. National coffee chain executives and new store owner Jason Park were present at the event alongside the Chamber and local officials to celebrate the opening of the new coffee shop.
