San Francisco Giant Prospect, Bryce Eldridge, Hits Opposite-Field Home Run in Season Opener

1 min read

San Francisco’s No. 4 prospect, Bryce Eldridge, had a strong performance in the team’s season opener against the Fresno Grizzlies. At Excite Ballpark, Eldridge went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

During the game, Eldridge hit an unusual opposite-field home run in the bottom of the sixth inning. He connected with a 1-1 curveball high in the strike zone that initially looked like a pop-up down the left-field line. However, the ball carried over the wall for a two-run homer, showcasing Eldridge’s power at the plate.

Originally drafted by San Francisco as a two-way player with the No. 16 pick in the 2023 MLB Draft, Eldridge has since focused on developing as a position player with clear potential for elite power in the major leagues.
