Russia’s Diplomatic Struggle: Condemning Terrorism, Upholding Territorial Integrity in the Middle East and Africa.

During a meeting in Moscow, Mikhail Bogdanov, the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed the escalation of the situation in the Red Sea with a delegation from the Ansar Allah movement. The official representative of the Houthis, Muhammad Abdel Salam, led the delegation.

The ongoing strikes on Yemen by the United States and Great Britain in violation of the UN Charter were also condemned during this meeting. The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Moscow does not recognize Hamas as a terrorist organization and does not condemn their actions against civilian ships in the Gulf of Aden and Red Sea or their UAVs and cruise missiles targeting Israel.

A week ago, Bogdanov met with representatives from Hamas to discuss similar issues. It is important to note that Russia’s stance on these matters is different from that of many other nations who consider these actions to be illegal and unjustified. However, Russia continues to maintain diplomatic relations with both sides involved in these conflicts and works towards finding peaceful solutions to them.
