Rising Star: Jaden Sherwood named Advantage Federal Credit Union’s Boys Sports Athlete of the Week

Jaden Sherwood, a senior at Batavia Notre Dame, has been named Advantage Federal Credit Union’s Boys Sports Athlete of the Week after receiving over 6,000 votes. In a recent Genesee Region baseball league win, Sherwood played a pivotal role by driving in 4 runs and finishing 1 for 2 with a triple and a sacrifice fly. He also walked, scored a run, and stole a base while pitching 4 innings and striking out 9 batters.

Each week, the public is invited to vote for their favorite athlete from the previous week’s top performances on democratandchronicle.com. Voting is open until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, and the winners are announced first on the Democrat and Chronicle’s Instagram page at instagram.com/dandcsports. The Athlete of the Week program recognizes outstanding athletic achievements in Section V schools and encourages students to pursue their passions both on and off the field.
