Rhea Ripley Forced to Vacate WWE Women’s World Championship due to Injury in Backstage Brawl

1 min read

WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley has been forced to relinquish her title after suffering a shoulder injury during a backstage brawl with Liv Morgan on last week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. Despite initial reports that the injury was caused by a chair shot from Liv, it was later confirmed that the move did not lead to the injury.

Rhea Ripley announced on April 15th that she will be out of action for a while and had to vacate the Women’s World Championship. She expressed her disappointment at having to end her reign prematurely and promised to come back stronger than ever.

Ripley won the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 39 in April 2023 by defeating Charlotte Flair in a classic match. She recently defended her title successfully against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40 and had the crowd in awe with her performance at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. MMA Knockout wishes Rhea Ripley a speedy recovery.
