At Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2024, Honor unveiled two new AI-powered features designed to enhance user safety and security. These tools, AI Defocus Eye Protection and AI Deepfake Detection, are aimed at protecting users’ eyesight and detecting video deepfakes.
Honor stated that these new AI-powered technologies are designed to empower users and improve their overall experience. The company explained that the Defocus Eye Protection feature simulates blurring glasses on smart devices to address the issue of myopia caused by prolonged screen use. This technology can reduce transient myopia by up to 75 degrees, protecting ocular health while improving visual clarity.
On the other hand, the Deepfake Detection tool focuses on identifying deepfakes in videos through detailed frame-by-frame analysis. The tool has been trained on video and image datasets related to online scams, enabling it to quickly identify and analyze manipulated digital content in just three seconds. Honor’s focus on incorporating AI into mobile technologies reflects a commitment to innovation and user safety.
