The new operating system allows for personalization of the home screen, where you can place apps anywhere you want and choose icon colors to match your background image.
Apple devices now come equipped with a password storage app that works on all Apple products, including Windows. Siri, the voice assistant, can now answer text questions on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The calculator app is now available on the iPad, and with the Apple Pencil, you can write math problems in your notes and have them solved automatically.
One of the standout features of iOS 18 is ‘Apple Intelligence’, an AI-powered collection of functions that can prioritize notifications, perform tasks, correct errors in texts and emails, and provide summaries of messages. However, this feature is only available on the latest Apple devices. iOS 18 also includes a call recording feature with the consent of the other party, and Apple Intelligence can summarize the recording. The new emojis introduced in iOS 18 focus on personalization.
The release date for iOS 18 is set for July. While some investors were not impressed by the announcement on Wall Street and saw Apple shares fall after the presentation, many Apple fans are excited about the new features and updates included in iOS 18.
