Preparing for the Future: Dexter High School Launches New Music Technology Course

The Dexter High School is set to launch a new Music Technology course that aligns with its strategic plan of preparing students for the 21st century by incorporating technology into education. During the school board meeting held on April 29, Grace Wolfe, the Director of Bands at DHS, presented a proposal for the new course. The proposal was approved during the meeting, and Wolfe highlighted the importance of offering this course at DHS. She emphasized that it would provide students with skills relevant to contemporary music production and technology-driven music industries.

The Music Technology course will allow students to explore their creativity using digital tools and gain a deeper understanding of music beyond traditional methods. Martha Greaterox, the President of the Dexter Community Schools Board of Education, expressed excitement about the new course.
