Dynamic Planet is a three-year documentary series that delves into the lives of extraordinary individuals and animals on the frontlines of climate change. Filmed in some of the most extreme places on Earth, the series highlights what is at risk due to global warming. The series showcases how science, nature, and Indigenous knowledge can prepare us for a future where temperatures continue to rise. With stunning cinematography of wildlife in remote regions, this documentary promises to be a visual spectacle.
The premiere episode titled “ICE” takes viewers to the polar oceans of Antarctica and the Arctic, as well as the vast plateaus and soaring peaks of the Himalayas. The team documents how melting ice caps are impacting human and animal life in these regions. Researchers study seals and humpback whales up close to understand how nature is adapting to these changes. With temperatures continuing to rise at an alarming rate, it’s clear that urgent action needs to be taken before it’s too late.
