Bayern Munich has not yet made a formal offer to Inter Milan for midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu, despite recent transfer rumors. The German giants have shown interest in the Turkish star as they seek to rebuild their midfield under new coach Vincent Kompany, but there has been no official offer made yet.
Recent reports from German and Turkish media suggested that Calhanoglu is a target for Bayern as they look to make changes to their squad and reclaim the Bundesliga title. After losing out on the league crown to Bayer Leverkusen last season, Bayern is determined to make a comeback and win the title again.
Calhanoglu has been playing in Italian football for seven years and has shown significant growth during his time in Serie A. He began his career at AC Milan as a winger or attacking midfielder before transitioning into more of a box-to-box role over the years. When Inter signed Calhanoglu in 2021, he was brought in to replace Christian Eriksen after his health emergency at the Euros.
Having previous experience in the Bundesliga, Calhanoglu may not need to make many adjustments if he were to join Bayern. As he is born in Germany and fluent in the language, it would be an easy transition back home. However, despite Bayern’s interest, there has not been any concrete moves yet as reported by Corriere della Sera. Inter is aware of Bayern’s interest but nothing concrete has happened so far.
