Jennifer Newburger has been appointed as Vice President and Chief Quality Officer at Episcopal Health Services (EHS). With a background in healthcare quality management, including her previous position as Vice President of Corporate Quality Improvement at Covenant Personal Healthcare, Newburger will focus on improving quality and patient safety.

EHS recently welcomed two new executives to its leadership team. Dr. Jameela Yussuf has been appointed as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer. With nearly two decades of healthcare leadership experience, Dr. Yussuf will oversee clinical strategies, workforce planning, and service expansion. She brings multiple degrees, including an MD from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and an MPH from SUNY DHSU School of Public Health.

Dr. Donald T. Morrish, CEO of Episcopal Health Services, expressed enthusiasm for the appointments of Dr. Yussuf and Ms. Newburger. He stated that their expertise will be invaluable in implementing the 5-year strategic plan to improve health outcomes and expand services at EHS Inc., based on the Rockaway Peninsula in Queens, which provides emergency and ambulatory care to diverse and underserved populations while dedicated to delivering comprehensive services to all, regardless of their ability to pay.
