BestColleges has once again recognized Morehead State University’s veterinary technology program as one of the top programs in the nation. The university’s program is ranked among the top in Kentucky and also nationally, making it a prime destination for aspiring veterinary technicians.
MSU Vet Tech offers two programs: an associate degree in veterinary technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in veterinary technology. The program evaluates various factors such as admissions rates, student loan default rates, retention and graduation rates, and online class enrollment to determine its rankings. All of these factors are based on data provided by colleges and universities to the National Center for Education Statistics.
Dr. Amy Staton, director of the veterinary technology program and an alumna from the Class of 201M3, expressed pride in her faculty’s commitment to their students. At MSU Vet Tech, students are not just numbers but part of a family. The main goal of the program is to provide students with ample opportunities for success by giving them on-site facilities to hone their skills and gain knowledge through hands-on experience. This approach sets MSU Vet Tech graduates apart from others in the profession, making them highly valued in the field and well-prepared to make a positive impact on animal care.
