The NCAA Division I baseball tournament is a significant milestone in the journey to Omaha, where the Men’s College World Series will be held. On Monday, during the selection show, the 64-team field and matchups will be revealed as teams aim to advance to the College World Series. The tournament selection committee will first pick the top 16 overall seeds, who will host their own four-team regionals. The remaining conference champions and at-large teams selected by the committee will complete the brackets. Unlike basketball, baseball is double-elimination, giving teams a second chance after a loss.
The regional stage of the tournament will take place from May 31 to June 3 at schools that are among the top 16 overall seeds. The schedules, matchups, and game times for the regionals will be announced on Monday during the selection show. Following the regionals, super regionals will be played at eight sites selected from participating schools on June 7-9 or June 8-10. The schedules, matchups, and game times for super regionals will be announced after the conclusion of regionals.
The College World Series kickoffs on Friday, June 14 at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska. The CWS finals are scheduled for June 22-23 with a potential third game on June 24 if necessary. ESPN family of networks provides live broadcasting and streaming coverage of every Division I men’s baseball tournament with streaming available on ESPN+
