Esme Morgan, a 23-year-old England defender with eight caps for the Lionesses, is set to leave Manchester City this summer pending international clearance. While neither the club nor Morgan have confirmed her new destination, it is likely that she will be joining a National Women’s Soccer League club in the USA.
Morgan began her career at Manchester City, making her professional debut in 2017 and playing in 87 senior matches across various competitions. During her time at City, she won the Women’s FA Cup and League Cup, and was part of the team that finished second to Chelsea in the WSL this season, narrowly missing out on the title.
