LSU’s July 4th Celebrated with a Major Commitment from Four-Star Defensive Tackle Zion Williams: Adding Depth to the Tigers’ Defense in 2025

LSU’s July 4th was made all the more exciting with a big commitment from Class of 2025 four-star defensive tackle Zion Williams from Lufkin, Texas. The announcement of his pledge to the Tigers added literal and figurative fireworks to the day. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing in at 330 pounds, Williams is ranked as the No. 20 defensive tackle in his class.

Williams had offers from top programs like Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, USC, Florida, TCU, and Arkansas but ultimately chose LSU. With this commitment, he becomes the latest addition to a strong LSU recruiting class that now has 13 commitments, with all but one being four-star prospects or higher.
