Local Politician Offers Reward for Arrest of Vandal after Sign Defacement

1 min read

Grand Island Town Supervisor Pete Marston is on the hunt to find the person responsible for vandalizing his business’s sign, which occurred sometime on Thursday evening. According to Marston, the perpetrator spray-painted the message “Drain the Swamp” on his sign, which Marston finds ironic given his political affiliation as a Republican.

The incident has left Marston feeling frustrated and concerned about the larger issue within the community. He notes that Grand Island residents are becoming increasingly agitated with politics, citing extremism on both sides as a significant factor. Despite prioritizing the needs of Grand Island, Marston realizes that some may disagree with his approach. In response to this incident, he is offering a reward of $1,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the culprit, with investigations being conducted by both the Grand Island Police and Erie County Sheriff’s Office.

Marston is concerned about the potential actions against others and emphasizes accountability.
