Tae Davis, a linebacker who joined the Panthers in the second half of last season, has decided to remain with the team for the upcoming 2024 season. The Panthers have officially announced that they have reached an agreement with Davis on a new contract. Although the terms were not disclosed, it has been reported by Mike Kaye of the Charlotte Observer that it is a one-year deal.
Initially starting the season with the Falcons, Davis played in eight games before being released in November. Shortly after his release, he signed with the Panthers and went on to make eight more appearances. Throughout his time with both teams, Davis primarily contributed to special teams, recording seven tackles. With his experience playing for teams like the Browns and Giants, Davis is expected to be utilized more this season due to the changes being made to kickoffs in the league. His ability to cover kicks will be crucial for the Panthers moving forward.
