The Pro Football Writers of America has announced that Les Snead, the General Manager of the Rams, is the recipient of the 2024 Horrigan Award. This prestigious award is given to a league or club official who demonstrates exceptional professionalism and cooperation with the media that cover the league. Snead is the 52nd winner of the award and is only the second member of the Rams franchise to receive this honor, following head coach John Robinson in 1992.
Snead’s approach to working with the media has been recognized as exemplary, making him a deserving recipient of the Horrigan Award. He is the first General Manager to win the award since Brandon Beane of the Buffalo Bills in 2021. The award is named after Jack Horrigan, a former sportswriter and public relations executive in the American Football League and the Buffalo Bills. Joe Horrigan, who has been with the Pro Football Hall of Fame for 45 years, is involved in the selection process for the Horrigan Award. Other nominees for the 2024 award included 49ers General Manager John Lynch, NFL VP of communications Brian McCarthy, and NFL EVP of football operations Troy Vincent. The award recognizes individuals who go above and beyond in helping pro football writers fulfill their duties.
