Mercyhurst Prep baseball secured a season sweep of Fairview with a 6-3 victory on Monday. Hunter Krahe pitched 5 2/3 innings, while Josh Majczyk hit a three-run home run to help lead the Lakers to victory. After the game, coach Randy Durkoske and players shared their thoughts on the win.
In boys tennis action, the District 10 singles tournament championship results were held at Westwood Racquet Club on Monday. In the Class 2A division, Cathedral Prep’s Jonah Ng defeated teammate Gavin Ferretti 6-1, 6-0. In the Class 3A division, Erie High’s John Sinnott emerged victorious over McDowell’s Gridley Wright with a score of 6-1, 6-3.
