Katy Perry Surprises the Fashion World with Runway Appearance at Vogue World: Paris

On June 23, 2023, pop sensation Katy Perry took the world by surprise with a runway appearance at Vogue World: Paris. The singer shared behind-the-scenes footage of herself modeling an archival Noir Kei Ninomiya dress with geometric shapes and tulle floral embellishments on TikTok. In the video, she also previewed her upcoming single “Woman’s World,” set to be released on July 11.

“Woman’s World” marks Perry’s first single release since 2021, when she put out “Electric” and “When I’m Gone.” At the event, Perry completed her look with lace-up boots, slicked-back hair, rosy lipstick, and matching eye shadow. The event, hosted by Cara Delevingne and celebrating the intersection of fashion and sports, took viewers through the decades starting with the 1920s.

Each decade paid homage to a sport as well as a French designer or fashion house. During the 1980s segment, which was a tribute to martial arts, Perry walked the runway alongside other celebrities such as Joey King, Sabrina Carpenter, Ashley Graham, Gigi Hadid, and Kendall Jenner.
