John Deere Plants $15 Million for Las Rosas Plant Upgrades in Argentina to Boost Production of Sprayers, Seeders by 50%

John Deere recently announced plans to launch significant upgrades at its plant in Las Rosas, Santa Fe in April. These upgrades will increase the production capacity of sprayers and seeders by 50% following a $15 million investment. Sergio Fernandez, the president of Industries John Deere Argentina, highlighted that this investment is part of a larger ambitious program that the company has been implementing in Argentina for over a decade, with a total investment of over $265 million.

John Deere has been manufacturing in Argentina for more than 65 years and is committed to supporting production and development in the country. The Las Rosas plant is just one of three plants owned by John Deere, producing a range of equipment including tractors, combines, platforms, engines, sprayers, seeders, and carbon fiber bowsprits. What sets John Deere apart from other companies is its ability to produce all the main equipment necessary for the agricultural production cycle in Argentina. With over 3,200 direct employees, a network of exclusive dealers, and numerous national suppliers, John Deere is a key player in the country’s manufacturing industry.

The investment in the Las Rosas plant included new buildings, painting and assembly line improvements as well as enhancements to processes systems and logistics. This milestone marks a commitment by John Deere to embrace technology and optimize processes within the agricultural sector. The company’s ongoing efforts to improve its operations are seen as an important step towards ensuring that it remains competitive in an increasingly global marketplace. With these upgrades set to go live soon we can expect to see an increase in productivity at the Las Rosas plant which will undoubtedly benefit not only John Deer but also the entire agricultural sector in Argentina.
