The Oscar-winning actor had been hospitalized in April 2023 while filming the Netflix film “Back in Action” in Atlanta. In a TikTok video posted on April 11, 2023, Foxx shared more details about his experience.
Foxx explained that he had a “bad headache” and doesn’t remember anything after asking for an Advil. He was hospitalized for 20 days and received a cortisone shot from a doctor. Foxx mentioned that his sister and daughter took him to the doctor and something was “going on up there” in his head.
Since then, Foxx has been guarded about his private life and has stayed away from the limelight following the incident. He previously stated that he wanted to maintain a positive image for the public, avoiding any images of him in a vulnerable state. However, in July 2023, he posted a video on Instagram expressing his gratitude for the support from fans and well-wishers. He later updated his followers in August 2023, stating that he was starting to feel like himself again after what seemed like a long and unexpected dark journey.
