Keaton Anthony, a former University of Iowa student, has recently been promoted to High-A Jersey Shore by the Philadelphia Phillies. Although not as highly regarded as other prospects, Anthony’s impressive performance in his first season in the minors earned him this well-deserved promotion.
In Florida State League, Anthony was one of the top hitters, ranking seventh in batting average, fourth in on-base percentage and sixth in OPS. His success on the field caught the attention of the Phillies organization and they decided to move him up to a higher level of competition.
At Iowa, Anthony displayed his versatility as a two-way player, excelling both at the plate and on the mound. His outstanding collegiate career laid the groundwork for his professional debut and he has continued to impress with his performance since then.
With this promotion, Anthony joins fellow prospects Aidan Miller and George Klassen on their journey towards the major leagues. Together they represent the future of the Phillies organization, each bringing a unique set of skills and determination to succeed in their respective careers.
