India’s T20 World Cup campaign is well underway, with the first batch of players arriving in New York ahead of the tournament. The team, including skipper Rohit Sharma, pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, and number one-ranked T20I batter Suryakumar Yadav, touched down in the US on Saturday for the event. A clip shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India on their official social media handle showed the cricketers leaving the airport in New York and boarding the team bus.
The highly anticipated India-Pakistan clash is set to take place on June 9 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Before that, India will face Ireland on June 5 to kick off their Group A matches. They will also play tournament co-hosts USA and Canada to round out their group stage games.
